Biography

I am a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), Certified Placement Referral Specialist (CPRS), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU).  I work with families and seniors to assure them of receiving the best living and care solutions. I have helped hundreds of families find the best senior living solutions, and get the answers and information they need so they can make educated decisions and establish well thought out plans.

I know how stressful it can be to search for the right care and best place to live for a loved one in crisis. The abundance of options, establishing budgets, identifying the specific needs and all of the paperwork required can make the process overwhelming.

Years ago when my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimers I was faced with many decisions I was not comfortable making…When do I move her out of her home? What can I afford? How do I choose an assisted living community? Do I choose a big community or a small care home? I remember thinking, I wish there was someone who could help me with these decisions.

After 15 years in the Long Term Care, Life Insurance and Estate Planning business, I decided to become a Senior Care Authority Advisor to share what I had learned professionally, and practically by helping my mother through her journey with Alzheimers. My goal is to help other families learn from my mistakes and avoid what my family and I went through.

In addition to operating Senior Care Authority, Sacramento, in 2018 I founded the National Placement and Referral Alliance (NPRA) of Sacramento and currently hold the office of President. With over 50 members from all over the Sacramento area, our mission is to provide ongoing education for the Senior Placement Industry, create and publish a set of best practices and a code of ethics that members attest to follow, and help to affect laws that give families rights and protect seniors from predatory practices.
