Biography

I started Seamless Senior Transitions in 2017 to provide the guidance that I wish I had when my dad was diagnosed with Dementia and declining rapidly. In the years I spent making sure that he was getting the best possible care it was hard to find information because I didn’t know what I didn’t know, and the people who were ethical and truly wanted to help were few and far between. For each little victory with my dad, I thought about how hard it was to achieve and how badly I wanted to make the process easier for others.

It takes more than good intentions to truly help seniors and their families. Along with my 7 years of hands-on experience working with families in transition, I’ve pursued education at every opportunity so that the quality of service I provide is above and beyond. Some of my certifications are, Certified Dementia Practitioner, Certified Senior Advisor, Certified Assisted Living Manager (Texas), Certified Readmission Prevention Fellow, Certified Care Transitions Fellow, NASMM Certified Senior Move Manager and NASMM Certified Aging in Place Specialist. I take (and teach!) classes on serving people with dementia every chance I get!

Seamless Senior Transitions provides services without cost to seniors or their families, as fees are paid by the facility that you choose. Since ethics and transparency were my biggest complaint about my experience with my dad, I have worked hard to make sure that Seamless Senior Transitions is always 100% ethical. I have have personally visited each of the 200+ licensed communities in our area, reviewed their inspection reports and licensing history, gotten to know the management, and visit frequently to maintain an understanding of the resident mix at any given time. I can work with any community in our area, not just “preferred partners”, and the only reason I would or would not refer a particular community is the fit for the client. There are no sweetheart agreements - I have set up standardized rates for the communities I partner with so that I never have a perceived incentive to favor a community for the wrong reasons.

I’ve been blessed to work with hundreds of families over the years and become a thought leader in my industry. With that comes the privilege of serving nonprofits and community organizations including: Alzheimer’s Association (Community Educator), The Senior Estate Concierge (Co-Chair, North Chapter), Houston Elder Service Providers Network (Council Member) and The Grand Baby Project.

A native Oregonian, I moved to Houston in 2020 with my husband, son, and two dogs. I’m an amateur beekeeper and enjoy being outside whenever I can. I have been helping families in The Woodlands and beyond to find the senior living situation that fits best with their needs.
